Spirit Guides and their communication styles

I make it a habit to engage with my spirit guides on a daily basis. Sometimes I ask them to reveal who they are to me or tell me something about themselves. Other times I practice my skills with them. Their advice and words of wisdom are insightful, helpful, and often healing. I've noticed several different energies arising in their comments and feedback. One of the earliest examples of this was when I was in meditation and asking about the past lives of someone who had requested a reading. Having given me a word that had zero contextual meaning, I interrupted my meditation to look it up. After using the internet and resuming my meditation, I heard "We gave you a word for a reason. There's no reason to doubt us," but it was said in a very loving, gentle, and only slightly scolding way. I laughed and told them it was simply to put the word into context for myself to give the sitter more information. Very parental energy.

On another occasion, when I asked my guides to give me their daily message, the Tarot came out with "Get off your a$$ and get moving toward this goal." I like to believe that I'm given these messages in a way that resonates with my sensibilities, hence the cursing. 😁 The day after I indeed got off my a$$ and moved toward my goal, I was told "Great job. Now keep going." Another message I received was "B!tch, remember who you are." To put both of those messages in context, I received them after I admitted to my guides that I was struggling with some particular aspect of my life. Very motivational energy in these messages.

Without a doubt the funniest message I got thus far from my guides came yesterday. I was deep in meditation, and had been given the sense that something I had been manifesting had arrived. I felt profoundly moved and was crying from happiness and gratitude. I wiped my cheeks with my hands, and as I was wiping my hands on my pants I heard "Ok, now to Tarot. But NOT WITH THOSE HANDS!" I laughed out loud so hard at that message. I asked who said that and was told it was my guide Duncan. Very snarky energy there.

I was so amused by Duncan's comment that I just had to share it with Maria. I texted her and told her this story. In the mean time, I shuffled my deck and pulled my message for the day. She got a chuckle out of it and told me that my message was going to pat me on the back for the work I've done. I saw her response to me after I read my message and wouldn't you know it? It absolutely did. For those not well versed in Tarot, I'll give the meanings of the cards and then interpret:

Message from my spirit guides. This is "The Light Seers
Tarot" and has quickly become my favorite deck to use.

King of Wands: an entrepreneurial spirit, a natural born leader, ideas that can be ultra successful, a creative visionary, timelessness, success, fire

Strength: courage, calmness, quiet strength, influence, graceful leadership, gifted healer, purity of thought and heart, spiritual matters, compassion, sometimes lust or animal instinct

9 of Pentacles: spiritual and material satisfaction, personal achievement, inner peace, milestones met and celebrated, the energy of a successful harvest, contentment

Page of Pentacles: manifesting new opportunities, beginnings, good news, ambitions, skills and training, new career paths, new connections, exploration stage, a beginner, Earth magick, making plans a reality

Ace of Swords: new ideas, clarity, an 'aha' moment, truth revealed, awareness and heightened states of consciousness, memory or thought, communication, victory, success and triumph, a stroke of genius

6 of Wands (bottom of deck which means it's the context over all of it): badass success, leadership, accomplishments, becoming an influencer, victory, optimism, inspiring others

The emergent theme among all of these cards, when read together, is that the work I have been doing on my spiritual path is paying dividends. It's leading me down a path where new people and experiences will be coming into my life, and I am absolutely meant to be on this path. It is going to lead to good things, and I should celebrate how far I've come. This time, the parental energy came across as proud.

As I continue to develop my relationship with my guides, I look forward to being able to eventually identify who's energy is who's.
