Connecting with the fae world

Spirits. Ghosts. Fae folk. Elementals. Thought forms. Residuals. Dark entities. These are all types of energy in the spiritual realm. Since my sensitivity to energy doesn't discriminate, I have found that I can detect all of these forms. Untangling the types and messages of these energies can become difficult, especially if there is more than one type in a place. Hence the reason I got caught up in interacting with a mimic. Up until yesterday, I have detected (and one time actually witnessed with my own eyes) all of these forms of energy except one: fae folk. I knew of their existence, and I have sensed them in places (the first time I remote viewed Forest Haven I was told sprites were about), but I had never had an experience with one. Writing this now I realized I wonder what category an imp falls into. Not quite fae, not quite elemental, I suppose. I have had several interactions with those.

The weather was absolutely beautiful yesterday, and my guides sent me to the Daniels area of the Patapsco Valley State Park for a hike. I knew I was being sent for a reason. As an aside, the parking is scarce at Daniels. I was concerned that I wouldn't get a spot so I manifested a spot by stating definitively that I would. I followed another vehicle down the hill and the driver took the last spot at the trail head. Thankfully there was ample space downriver of the dam. As I set out for my hike I was told I needed to come back to the church. So I promised I would and set off for my hike. Along the way, I noticed ruins I hadn't seen on my previous trip, including this strange pit. I suspected it was an abandoned mine. I found a really nice oak tree uphill of this spot, and asked it about this spot specifically. Trees are awesome spirits. I've interacted with many at this point. This old man (interesting. all the other trees I've met have been female) showed me men with pick axes digging at the ground in this spot - confirmation that it was in fact a mining location.

Not the rock I where I met the fae,
but the same type of bedrock
I took the switchback trail that winds its way to the top of the ridge in this area. The ridge is made of high pressure-temperature micaceous schist with garnets (Hello geologist - nice to see you again! lol). As I reached the summit, I noticed this particular piece of bedrock that had a depression in it that looked like a perfect spot to stop and meditate. So that's what I set out to do. I sat down and took a couple of deep breaths - inhaling the spring air and enjoying the dappled sunlight on my face - when I detected a presence suddenly by my side. As I've learned previously, I asked my spirit guides about whether or not it was going to be okay to interact with this energy, and they gave the affirmation. I looked down and noticed that there was a really small form about 8" tall sitting on the rock beside me. A rock fairy! I've been reading this book: Enchantment of the Faerie Realm: Communicate with nature spirits and elementals, by Ted Andrews. I'm just getting into it and haven't practiced any of the exercises in the book yet, but here I was detecting and interacting with a Fae! I was surprised and delighted at this turn of events. I had a really nice conversation with this entity. It was slightly confused about how I was able to not only detect it but also communicate with it. I informed it that I had been given gifts by the universe and this was evidently one of them. I commented on how pretty the rock was - the muscovite mica crystals were abundant, about 1 mm square, and glistened in the sunlight. I also thanked the fairy for allowing me to sit on their rock. I commented on how small they were - to which their response was "I might be small but I can do big things." "No doubt!" I responded. I finished my conversation with the fairy and told them I must be on my way. As this particular trail follows the ridge for a bit of time, lots of bedrock pops out along the way. My conversation with the fairy must have caught the attention of the others, because as I passed more bedrock, numerous other fae popped out of the rocks to say hello as I walked by! Despite the brief interactions, that was without a doubt one of the coolest experiences in the spirit world I have had so far. I look forward to interacting with other types of fae in the future.

After I finished my hike, I did indeed walk over to the church, but didn't climb the hill to get to the actual building. The only thing I was told was there was a man named Samuel (or Sam) in the church. He was a former deacon or pastor (or both? I couldn't tell) of the church itself, and likes to hang out near the steeple. This was another FYI moment. I have no doubt I'll eventually discover the purpose of this FYI, just as I had for the man hanging out across the river
