Joy and anger in Pine Cottage

Thus far, the building with the most genuine inert-trending-toward-happy vibes is Pine Cottage. I learned that Pine is protected by an entity called "Mrs. M." It's a place where the dark energy seemingly has never penetrated. Our visit to Forest Haven last night reinforced that. Knowing that the two ghosts called Jessica and Layla reside in Pine, I was looking forward to visiting with them again. Imagine my surprise when I found that the gifts that had been left for Jessica at our previous visit had been set ablaze. Jessica was incredibly upset by this. She kept ranting about "how could they do this??" Sadly, I had no answer for her, other than to tell her that humans suck sometimes. Why people trespass on this property and feel the need to commit acts of vandalism completely escapes me. Other than her dismay at her gifts being destroyed, Jessica seemed to be doing okay.

Layla was doing the Layla thing, hanging out in her corner of the room when she saw us all come in. She was curious about Penelope. I told her that Penelope might be new but she was here to learn about Forest Haven. That seemed to put Layla at ease. She came out of her corner and walked toward where we were all standing. In addition to Jessica and Layla, I sensed an additional presence in the room with us but couldn't quite make out who or what it was. Then I saw her. Sitting in the same position I found Jessica when we first met - on the floor against the wall with her knees bent, her arms draped over them, and her head hung low. I tried to interact with her but it was difficult. She clearly was depressed, but it was more than that. She was nearly catatonic. Jessica and Layla paid her no mind, and didn't offer any insight as to who she was or why she was there, so I just let it be.

While I was still trying to console Jessica on the loss of her gifts, I had my attention turned to an experiment I had been dying to try ever since I started practicing my energy work. Paul had brought a REM Pod and MEL meter with him on this trip. I was dying to see if I could set either one of them off via my energy transmutation. First the REM POD. Paul set it to the most sensitive setting and set it on the table. I got used to the field and backed away so that my own energy didn't set it off. Then I focused on shifting Earth energy through my body and out my hand chakras. Bingo! It wasn't strong but it was enough to note that even though I wasn't moving and my physical body was outside of the field, it was being interrupted by the energy I was emitting. So much fun! Next came the MEL meter. This instrument is interesting because it not only senses EMF, but it senses temperature and produces its own EMF field that can be disturbed, just like the REM Pod. Paul set it up and I went about experimenting with it in the same way.

I was in the midst of setting it off when *nearly simultaneously* the following happened: Penelope reacted to energy coursing through her; the MEL meter with absolutely haywire; and then I sensed energy coursing through me. The units on the MEL meter went from zero to 120, which Paul said was an absolute insane reading, and the lights went all the way up to purple. I was too busy reacting to see what the temperature sensor did at the same time, and sadly the video Paul was taking wasn't focused on the screen of the meter itself but on the group of us. I clipped the video of us from that moment and have it on YouTube here. We all had a collective "What the F*CK was that??" moment. We all exclaimed at the course of events. Then I turn around and Layla is standing right behind me and slightly to the right. She was giggling so freaking hard! I think I said something like "what in the hell was that?! Oh! That was Layla!" She had run in a straight line through Penelope, then the MEL meter, and then myself. I said laughing, "alright, showoff!" Paul suggested I try to play a game with her - I set it off and then she sets it off - but she had made her point and was no longer interested in playing. LOL! After that, we wrapped up our visit to Pine cottage and made our way along to the next building. It's always nice to find a safe place to land (and even play a bit) at Forest Haven.
