Spirit Guides are there for a reason

I've found there are many different ways my guides communicate with me. Often it's through my claircognizance: I will just 'know' something. Other times when I ask yes or no questions, yeses are answered with tingle, starting with my crown chakra and moving down through my body. Sometimes a message is delivered through Tarot. I also get direct telepathic downloads of a word or two. 

Today's communication gave me all of the above. As I usually do, I sat down to meditate and ask my guides about my expected trip to FH this evening. In the past, when I've asked if it is okay for me to go, I got the all-clear via the yes route. Today was markedly quiet. I followed up with "will I be safe if I go to FH tonight?" Again, the distinct response for "No." So I turned to Tarot to ask what I needed to know about FH, and why it was a no-go. The answer was interesting. I was given the response "listen to your instincts. you're lying to yourself." What was it that I was lying to myself about? Then it dawned on me. Even though I had no intention of clearing the dark energy at FH on this trip (which is what I've been asked to do by my guides), I knew that is my ultimate goal. Then I got the telepathic response, "They know." It was a warning. The darkness there knows that I will eventually come back to get rid of it. My guides don't want me going back until I'm ready to do the work. And they don't want me going without other gifted people to help with the work. 

    I was directed to ask Maria about the stop sign I was just given. Her response was eerily similar, "tonight isn't a night for you." I texted Tom as well and told him I got a big ol' "NOPE" from my guides. His response: "Same answer here, let's talk later." I hate to think what could happen to me if I hadn't asked for guidance in advance. I could get an attachment or worse, could risk getting possessed. Seeking guidance from my team is one of the many important lessons I've learned by visiting FH with Tom in the past.
